If you want your holder to be used in multiple places or you prefer not to mount it on the wall this kit allows you to add a base to the wall mounted holder in the case you prefer not to mount it onto the wall. In order to properly function the holder needs to have a gap underneath it to allow the proper airflow to keep the housing cool. It comes with stainless steel hardware and feet pads to give it a non slip function. All you need is a Phillips screw driver and you can convert the wall mount holder to be placed safely on the counter top.
Note: Wall mount bracket and base can not be used simultaneously. Base kit once installed can be easily removed to place it back on to the wall mount bracket. This kit provides an option to use on a table top but does not provide the same robust stability of the holder mounted to the wall. The stability greatly depends on the the curling iron in which you are using and its length and handle weight. The user is responsible to insure proper use and stability with their curling iron to minimize the risk of the holder with iron tipping over.
